“I’ve been on PrEP for nine years now, and every time I get a new provider or switch insurance, I run into the same issues that I ran into when I first started.” 

Michael is an advocate and long time PrEP user, yet new providers are still not knowledgeable about PrEP and how to make access easy for him. He still receives bills for labs and provider visits, despite PrEP being a no-cost sharing preventive service under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

“If there was a way I could just go on my phone and apply for a PrEP Pass to know that my medication, labs, and provider visit would be covered, [I wouldn’t have to] pull from all of these different assistance programs that have different rules and regulations.”
